Firouzeh Saremi Far is a Toronto-based visual artist whose practice explores the intersections between human experience and the natural environment. Her work delves into themes of identity, transformation, and resilience, reflecting on how emotional and environmental forces continuously shape one another. Drawing inspiration from the emotional intensity of Expressionism, the conceptual depth of Minimalism, and the boundless forms of Abstract Art, Firouzeh creates works that balance complexity and restraint, inviting quiet reflection alongside vivid expression.
Her process is deeply material-driven, combining sculpture, painting, and mixed media to translate emotional states into tangible form. Through texture, color, and spatial rhythm, she transforms personal narratives into shared experiences, using art as a language of empathy, reflection, and healing.
Firouzeh’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and she has participated in residencies such as the Gibraltar Point Residency (Toronto Island, Canada) and the Cultural Immersion Residency (Mexico). These experiences have shaped her approach to materiality, storytelling, and spatial awareness. During the 62nd Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, she received several awards, including the Best of Student Award, Artscape Solo Exhibition and Residency Award, and the Marie Collins Memorial Award. She was also selected for the Akin Career Launcher Award, which includes a studio space and a solo exhibition at Remote Gallery.
Currently, Firouzeh is developing her latest collection, “A Life Full of She and Stitches,” which reflects personal narratives of identity, conflict, and renewal through layered materials and spatial tension.
Ultimately, her goal is to create art that not only occupies space but also serves as a catalyst for reflection and engagement, encouraging viewers to contemplate their relationship with the world and their own emotional landscapes.
